Presentation
Tooltip Background - The background colour of the tooltip which appears when a user hovers over an overlay and the tooltip message appears.
Page Display Mode - The reader will see a double-page spread as default, but the default can be changed to single-page mode if that is more suitable for your publication.
Customise Overlay Colours
Overlay Colours - The overlays that you place in the publication have default colours to distinguish between them, however this can be changed using either a HEX code or the colour palette which appears by clicking the colour next to the field to enter the HEX code.
Show ToolTips - If you wish to show tooltips for some overlays but not others, you can assign these by ticking or unticking the boxes underneath each overlay type.
Transparent Product Code Overlays - don't show a coloured background for product code overlays.
Default Overlay Transparency (%) - set the transparency of an overlay when not flashing or being hovered over. 0% - invisible; 100% - opaque.
Background Options
Background - The default background is dark grey but you may wish to customise the background to match your brand.
Background Image - You have the option of uploading a .png image in the Files section, which can be selected here to appy a background image, with a selection of display options.
Background Gradient - Alternatively, you can specify a colour gradient using the two colour fields. "Colour one" appears at the top of the screen and fades into "Colour two" which appears at the bottom of the screen.
Toolbar Colours
In this section, you can set custom colours for the different sections of toolbar to enhance the look of your digital publication and ensure that it stays on-brand.
Intro Page & Toolbar Logo
Intro Page - A single-page PDF page to the left of the front cover, which can be customised to host all manner of content, such as advertising or sponsorship opportunities.
Logo - A logo can be applied to the toolbar in the top left of the publication (we recommend a logo of 34 pixels in height and up to 200 pixels in width).
Logo Link URL - The logo can be static or you can add a link here (please ensure you use HTTP:// or HTTPS:// before the address).
HTML Reader Branding Pack
HTML Reader Information Screen - as default, an information screen is displayed the first time a reader open a Web edition. This can be customised in the HTML Reader Branding Pack but you also have the option to completely disable it here.
Select a Branding Pack - It is possible to customise much of the Web editions framework by applying a custom HTML Branding Pack (contact support@yudu.com for this pack). This allows you to modify the toolbar icons, toolbar colours, loading logo, text prompts (strings) etc - the latter can allow you to apply a different language to your digital publication. Tick "Include publication level branding pack" if you are only customising a selection of the elements within the HTML Branding Pack.
Edition List Text Colour - this is the text displayed under your publication thumbnails in the Archive view. By default, this is set to white (FFFFFF) but can be customised if you change your background colour to maintain sufficient contrast.
Page Turn Animation and Centrefold Shadow
Page Turn Animation - Tick these boxes to enable a page turn animation and optional sound effect. You can also specify the page turn speed.
Centre Shadow - Enable a centrefold shadow in the middle of your digital publication to add a more realistic aesthetic. This can be turned on and off here, and you can also specify the width and intensity of the shadow.
