Time Delay for a Lightbox

Have the ability to put a time delay in a lightbox, so the viewer can read the page - then have an ad or other item come into focus - 30 second delay?

Hi There,

Thanks for your suggestion - I believe that this has been communicated directly with your Account Technician, Jonathan, and is certainly something that can be achieved using HTML within the edition.

If you could communicate directly with Jonathan we will look further into the solution for you.

Many Thanks

Good morining/afternoon Raymond.

Yes, we did talk with Jonathan about this, we are submitting this as a feature request.

What we want to have happen is that a pop-up display would appear on the page after so many seconds of viewing. We can do this with a straight HTML overlay, but any Yudu links that are under the HTML overlay cannot be clicked through. If you layer the HTML overlay under the Yudu links, any links in the HTML cannot be selected.

Jonathan's suggestion was to rebuild the entire page as an HTML overlay - incorporate both the HTML overlay and Yudu links into one. Yes, this would work, but if we are using a generic HTML overlay on every other page - let's say a response form, we would need to rebuild this one overlay that many times.

I see offering a time delay on a light box as a huge selling point for our publishers to offer addition space for advertising and promotions. Give the viewer time to start reading the page, and then the light box appears.
